Adobe Acrobat

This three-hour training will introduce the many features of Adobe Acrobat.  This program is used for creating and modifying forms, creating files for all users to access regardless of the software installed on their computers.

Topics covered include:
Class will review how to create and convert documents into the PDF format as well as many other new features available with Adobe 6.0.
Prerequisites:  This class is mandatory for any user who wishes to install the program on a BCOE computer.

Intermediate Outlook

This three-hour class will introduce using the Outlook Calendar, Tasks, Notes and Contacts.  The benefits of using these programs make Outlook a powerful management tool.

Topics covered include:
Voting buttons, using categories, journal entries, setting permissions, and modifying column headings.
Prerequisites:  Completion or knowledge of items covered in Introduction to Outlook

Beginning Word

This three-hour class is for new users of Microsoft Word or those making the transition from another word processing program.

Topics covered include:
Document creation, default settings, margins, menus and toolbars, working with fonts, cut, copy and paste, bullets and numbering, printing and saving documents.

Intermediate Word

This three-hour class will expand on the basic features covered in the beginning class.

Topics covered include:
Using templates and wizards find and replace, creating and editing complex text formats, setting tabs, inserting and formatting graphics, using format painter, page numbering and other features in Word.
Prerequisite:  familiarity with items covered in Beginning Word

Introduction to Microsoft Excel

This three-hour class introduces users to Excel as a powerful spreadsheet application.

Topics covered include:
Overview of spreadsheets, vocabulary, creating workbooks, working with cells, formatting, writing simple formulas.

Intermediate Excel

This three-hour class will introduce additional features in Microsoft Excel that will allow employees to get the most out of the program.

Topics covered include:
Inserting comments, naming ranges, cell validation and restriction, and conditional formatting.
Prerequisites:  Users should be familiar with items covered in the introductory course

This three-hour class will show you how to create dynamic presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint software.

The basics of putting a presentation together, using graphics, adding transitions and special effects, adding sound, making your presentation portable along with a variety of printing options.
