#1 - Saving Time By Using Windows Keyboard Shortcuts

This tech tips will focus on Keyboard shortcuts that will work in many programs supported in the Windows environment. This month's shortcuts focus on the Ctrl Key on the keyboard. Most shortcuts will work in any office program. Just learning a few of these a month may save you time.

 Pressing the F1 key will launch the Help option in any Windows or Office program.

• Ctrl + Esc will launch the start menu in the task bar

• Ctrl +A: Select all

• Ctrl + B: Bold
• Ctrl +C: Copy
• Ctrl + D: Duplicate (in a doc)
• Ctrl + F: Find
• Ctrl + G: Go to (in a doc)
• Ctrl + H: Replace
• Ctrl + I: Italic selected item
• Ctrl + J: Justify selected text
• Ctrl +L: left align selected text
• Ctrl + N: Open New (dependant of program)
• Ctrl + O: Open saved
• Ctrl + P: Print
• Ctrl + Q: Quit
• Ctrl + R: Right align text
• Ctrl + S: Save
• Ctrl + U: Underline
• Ctrl +V: Paste
• Ctrl + W: Close document
• Ctrl + X: Cut
• Ctrl +Z: Undo last command
