BCOE Superintendent is Not A Chicken - Or wait...is he?
This is the image for the news article titled BCOE Superintendent is Not A Chicken - Or wait...is he?Students who attend Butte County Office of Education's After School Programs participated in the 7th Annual "Kids Challenge" held at Butte College April 2nd from 2-5:30 pm. at the main campus. A total of 23 schools throughout Butte County participated, over 400 students and parents/guardians.Students arrived at 2 p.m. and received a tour of the campus by tour guides from the college. Following the tour, students entered the gym receiving a  spirited welcome from Butte College President, Dr. Kimberly Perry, Butte College Roadrunner Mascot "Dash",  and Butte County Superintendent Tim Taylor who led the students in their interpretation of the "Chicken Dance Song".
At 3 p.m., the students cheered on one representative from each of their schools in a competitive academic trivia tournament. Winning teams will earned a trophy and a goodie bag. The event helps promote the benefits of attending college to students at an early age.
