7 Schools Participate in Annual Lego Robotics Tournament
This is the image for the news article titled 7 Schools Participate in Annual Lego Robotics TournamentThe Annual Lego Robotics Tournament was a great success!  7 different schools brought a team of students to compete in a Lego Robotics Competition and an Engineering Competition which required students to work in teams to construct a tower. This Tournament was made possible by the partnership with Las Plumas High School Thunderbird Robotics and Butte College Drafting Department.  Under the leadership of Jon Andrew (LPHS) and John Dahlgren (Butte College), the high school robotics team hosted the event on their campus and judged the robotics portion of tournament while the Butte College students mentored small groups students in the engineering challenge of the day.

The students had a great experience.  The Expanded Learning Department looks forward to continuing our mission to offer these sorts of unique opportunities to students in Butte County. See Summer Schedule.

Thank you again to those who participated and those who supported this event for our students!
