The Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) is a full service design and production division of the Butte County Office of Education. The CDL specializes in developing and distributing educational resources and materials for high quality, professional and affordable training -- in print, multimedia and online formats.

All types and sizes of organizations turn to the Center for Distributed Learning to take advantage of our accessible, responsive customer service and award-winning product offerings, including:

• Creation and management of online learning communities
• Online course authoring, publishing and delivery systems
• Online delivery of professional staff development and training
• Design and development of instructional media
• Innovative web-based applications and tools
• Online standards database for K-12 education

Projects:

CTE Online - Career and Technical Education Partnership with ROP
Designed web presence and automated systems to support CTE’s effort to align current work with California State Language Arts Content Standards.

CTAP Online - Online Professional Development Program
Regional relationships with eight of 11 CTAP Regions. CTAP Online is a web site devoted to helping teachers understand, apply and teach technology in their classrooms. Our course catalog offers courses in personal proficiency skills, technology integration in curriculum, information literacy, standards, assessment and more.

California State History Course Models
Working with the CDE, the CDL created an interactive web presence that transformed information that was static in a printed format, to a dynamic site containing model lessons identified by the CDE to meet the California State History/Social Science Content Standards.

Learning Support Network Region 2
Learning Support Network develops and provides regional technical assistance and training for the Healthy Start After School and Safe Neighborhoods Partnership Program. Region 2's Learning Support Network includes the nine Northern California counties of: Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Tehama, Trinity, Shasta and Siskiyou.
