This program is a collaboration between the Regional Occupational Program and the Instructional Resource Center of the Butte County Office of Education.

These institute sessions reflect what is known about classroom management, instruction, and assessment. Graduates of the 90-hour institute for Level I and Level II (total 180 hours) will receive certification of Level I and II requirements for the Designated Subject and Vocational Credential. The renewal code for the five year preliminary credential states that,

"the holder must complete two years of teaching, the Level I and Level II requirements of an approved program of personalized preparation, and the health education requirement, and must receive the recommendation of a Commission approved Local Education Agency or an employing school district."

Each summer, Level I and/or Level II institutes will be offered.
