The due date is stamped in all books checked out to patrons. All books ordered include a packing list that also notes the due date for each book.

8. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BOOKS ARE NOT RETURNED BY THE DUE DATE?
Overdue notices are sent monthly to all patrons with overdue books. When books are overdue more than 2 months, bill notices are sent. If you should receive a notice, instructions for what to do are included with the notice.
We would appreciate a call from you letting us know the status of the overdue books: Will they be returned shortly? Do you need to extend the due date? Are they lost?
NOTE: Books may be renewed over the phone without being returned to the IRC first.
If you have overdue books, you are not automatically blocked from checking out another order of books. However, your overdue status is reviewed each month. Service may be interrupted for patrons who have not contacted us regarding their
overdue books.

9. WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE A BOOK?
Once a book is overdue for more than 2 months it is considered "lost" and you will receive a bill for the replacement cost of the book(s).
The bill notice is an "invoice" that can be used to obtain reimbursement from the party responsible for the loss or given to your business office for payment.
