California Technology Assistance Project - CTAP Region 2
CTAP Region 2 provides assistance to schools in the nine northeastern counties to integrate and sustain the use of technology that supports instructional practices based on principles of effective learning, staff development and
organizational improvement. CTAP is also responsible for
supporting the implementation of Enhancing Education Through
Technology (EETT), the technology initiative of No Child Left
Behind. EETT support includes district technology plan
development, grant development, professional development
support, and compliance monitoring of program requirements to
insure continued funding.
Center for Distributed Learning
The Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) creates and supports
technology resources and training that improves teaching and
learning. CDL services include: Building Customized
Online Communities, Course Development, Designing Web-based
Applications and Tools, Instructional Design, Web Site
Development, Content Conversion, and other technology resource
development. The CDL develops and supports a standard
online learning portal called CoursePath as the foundation for
many of its online projects used throughout the state.
CTAP Online
CTAP Online is a web site devoted to helping teachers understand, apply and teach technology in their classrooms. Our course catalog offers courses in personal proficiency skills, technology integration in curriculum, information
literacy, standards, assessment and more. CTAP Online courses can be taken entirely online, administered in a face-to-face setting, or any combination of the two. We also provide ongoing Mentor and Site Administrator workshops at the Butte County Office of Education and
individual school, district and county offices.
CTE Online - Career & Technical Education
CTE Online is a site devoted to helping educators and leaders within this unique field to access quality professional development tools that support the alignment of site-based needs with regional resources. Instructional leaders will join industry specialists in using
these resources to develop the skills necessary to align rich career and technical curricula with the promotion of academic skills commonly measured on state assessments our students and schools face each year.
California State History Course Models
Working with the CDE, the CDL created an interactive web presence that transformed information that was static in a printed format, to a dynamic site containing model lessons identified by the CDE to meet the California State History/Social Science Content Standards.
