You have the camera, you know how to take and upload pictures...now you are ready to use them in the classroom. Come to this workshop to find out what you can do with pictures now that you have them. Ideas will be presented to incorporate digital photography into your lessons.
Learn how to use PowerPoint in your classroom to make your delivery more interesting and interactive with your students. Add animation and transition to slides to keep students wanting more information! Create curriculum-based presentations using layout design, graphics, multi-media, and slide organization tools. Date: November 19 in Chico / November 20 in Oroville
PowerPoint Intermediate/Advanced - Add video, sound clips and other types of media into your PowerPoint presentations to make them more interactive. Spice up your basic presentation and end the year with your students' attention! Date: December 10 in Chico / December 11 in Oroville
Google as a tool? Have you heard that it does math, provides multiple definitions of terms, and can create collaborative documents? Come explore and gain useful ideas to use with your students. Create an iGoogle homepage to give your students a start to their day.
This session will use the simple "Flip" camera (provided for session) to create student and informational videos. Activities include simple editing and posting of your completed videos.
Learn to edit and manipulate audio files to best fit your lessons. The Internet is rich in audio recordings of political speeches, newscasts, and music. In learning digital audio production students can create multimedia presentations and become engaged in the process of using technologies for authentic learning. They can share their experiences by posting projects on the Web.
This session will cover basics including tips for taking digital photos, camera settings, transferring photos from your camera to your computer and basic image manipulation. Teachers may bring their own digital camera and connection cables to this class, but it is not required.
This session will cover options for organizing your photos and more advanced image manipulation. Teachers should be familiar with downloading photos from their cameras. Feel free to bring in your photos for this lesson.
