Human Resources

The Human Resources Division of Butte County Office of Education serves the employment needs of each of its programs and departments spanning the full scope of services from recruitment to retirement.  Along with recruitment, selection, and retention efforts, our HR Division provides employee classification and salary placement, contract management, and maintains personnel policies, regulations, records, and legal references.

Directions and Parking

Our office is located at 1859 Bird Street in Oroville, California.  From Highway 70, take the Montgomery Street exit and go approximately one mile east.  Just as you pass the Ford Dealership on the left, make a right turn onto Lincoln Street, (a one-way street).

Travel one block, and you will see our building (3 story white building) to your left.  There are several visitor parking lots in the area as well as limited on-street parking.  You may enter the front entrance stairs or the rear entrance ramp.  Human Resources is located on the main floor.  We offer handicap access at the rear of the building.

Instructional Paraprofessional

Butte COE requires applicants for instructional paraprofessional to meet one of the following requirements:

  • Completion of two  years of full time study at an institution of higher education; or,

  • Associate (or higher) degree; or,

  • Assessment exam of knowledge of and the the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics.
