Desktop Publishing

This Desktop Publishing class prepares students for employment related to the Graphic Communication Industry. Students develop skills in graphic design, layout, editing digital images, and pre-press procedures. Students learn software programs such as PageMaker, Adobe Premier, Photoshop, and Microsoft Word and produce print media such as the school yearbook, newsletters, flyers, brochures, and business cards.

You Can Earn: A Certificate of Proficiency, high school credits and college credits with Butte College.

How to Enroll for Desktop Publishing:

• High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location: Durham High School

Duration: This two-semester class meets two hours daily Monday through Friday and begins in the fall.
