Administration of Justice

This class is designed to provide students with an introduction to the Administration of Justice system in the United States.  Units of instruction will include the history, philosophy and agencies of Administration of Justice.  Emphasis will be placed on crime, punishment, rehabilitation, ethics, education and training for professionalism in the system.  Specific topics related to law enforcement duties will be covered and includes the juvenile justice system, report writing, search and seizure, prison system, investigations, patrol procedures and private investigations.  Classroom and hands-on instruction will include demonstrations, lectures, discussions, guest speakers, field trips, ride-a-longs and other community activities.

How to Enroll for Administration of Justice:

  • High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location: Gridley High School, Oroville High School & Pleasant Valley High School.

Duration: This class meets at Gridley High School, Las Plumas High School, Oroville High School and Pleasant Valley High School 1 hour per day for two semesters and begins in the fall.
