Medical & Hospital Careers

This 360-hour course provides students with the necessary entry-level skills in auxiliary hospital and medical services. The program includes classroom training in basic health facility skills, job preparedness, safety, CPR, first aid and medical terminology. The course offers specific training at a community classroom site in the areas of Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Central Supply, Dietary, Medical Records, Medical Reception, Cardiology and other auxiliary medical occupations.  Doctors' offices and other medical facilities are also utilized for hands on training.

You Can Earn: A Certificate of Proficiency, high school credits.

Duration:

High School classes meet for two hours daily for two semesters and begin in the fall.
Adult classes meet for four hours daily for one semester.
