Sports Medicine

Students will study anatomy/physiology, preventative health techniques, nutrition, physical fitness assessment, exercise prescription, conditioning, prevention and treatment of injuries, emergency preparedness and skills for employment in careers related to sports medicine. Students may gain hands-on experience through non-paid internships with local employers and sports teams.

You Can Earn: A Certificate of Proficiency and high school credits.

How to Enroll for Sports Medicine:

• High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location: Chico High School

Duration: This two-semester class meets two hours daily Monday through Friday and begins in the fall.
