Hospitality & Tourism

This class provides students with the entry-level skills necessary for employment in the hospitality and tourism industries. Areas of study include customer service, public safety, emergency procedures, guest and recreation services, management organization and travel reservations. Emphasis is placed in the growing number of resources and services in the greater Oroville area. After successful completion of the technical core, students will gain hands-on training in non-paid internships with local hospitality and tourism businesses.

You Can Earn: A Certificate of Proficiency, high school credits.

How to Enroll for Hospitality & Tourism:

  • High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location:  Las Plumas High School

Duration: This two-semester class meets for two hours daily Monday through Friday, and begins in the fall.
