High Performance Auto Technology

This class explores the application of aftermarket automotive components. Modifications of interior, exterior, drive train and other components will be addressed through student projects that incorporate fabrication, utilization of aftermarket products and other specialized automotive marketing concepts. In depth discussions will center on the legal aspects of automotive modification and being street legal. Students will discuss applicable laws, rules and governments entities that regulate the automotive industry.

You Can Earn: A Certificate of Proficiency, high school credits and pending articulation for credit at Butte College.

How to Enroll for High Performance Auto Technology:

• High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location: Oroville High School

Duration:  This class meets at Oroville High School two hours daily for two semesters and begins in the fall.
