Auto Body Paint/Repair

This one-year class will provide entry-level skills in the field of auto body repair, detail and service. The class offers an overview of auto body/paint occupations. In this class welding tools and other hand and power equipment are used in the repair of minor collision damage, which includes metal finishing, proper use of filler replacement, alignment of parts and minor mechanical repair. Emphasis will be placed on shop attitude, responsibility, quality control and job placement.

Special Considerations: Students must have a basic background in automotive and/or welding.  The students must also have an interest in the mechanical field.

You Can Earn: Certificate of Proficiency, high school credits and Butte College credits.

How to Enroll for Auto Body Paint Repair/Services:

  • High School Students:  You need to be at least 16 years old and see your counselor or call ROP at 879-7457.

Fees: There is no cost for high school students.

Location: Paradise High School

Duration: This class meets at Paradise High School three hours daily for two semesters and begins in the fall.
