Our Vision Statement

We will provide a safe and optimal learning environment that meets the diverse needs, promotes the successful growth and ensures the maximum opportunity for each student to reach high standards of academic, career technical and social achievement.

About Us

Student Programs and Services provides direct services to assist students and  to see that all children in Butte County receive appropriate educational services through alternative programs, educational services for the disabled, counseling, vocational training, juvenile court and community schooling, independent study and charter schools.  This is accomplished by direct operation of special education classes for children 0-22 years of age who meet the federal, state and local criteria, services for those students who find it difficult to achieve their educational goals in a normal public school environment, and services for those students who require additional disciplinary support.  Student Programs and Services includes partnerships that expand human, financial and program services with schools, public and private agencies.

“When Students Are Homeless” is a 15-minute professionally produced video that explores the challenges faced by children and youth experiencing homelessness and gives voice to this growing population of young people.

This inspiring video is an excellent resource and training tool for schools, agencies, and community groups. The video has been reduced in size to be viewed on this website. Please consider making a donation through a secure PayPal transaction to support the school success of students in Butte County. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will be used for backpacks, school supplies, and emergency assistance for homeless students. Williams Uniform Complaint Procedure  

Under new laws resulting from the Williams lawsuit settlement, parents/guardians and others have the right to file a complaint about the availability of textbooks and instructional materials and the condition of school facilities.
