Trustee Area Redistricting
The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) and the Butte County Board of Education are transitioning the way the Board is elected. Currently, seven trustees are elected from four trustee areas, but the Board election will change to a pure “by-trustee area” system where seven trustee areas with approximately the same population each elect a single trustee to the Board. Only the residents of a trustee area will be able to vote for that seat on the Butte County Board of Education.

Community members were invited to take part in the redistricting process through a series of public meetings on the dates below. All meetings start at 3:30 p.m.
