Calkids Summer Food Service Program

Calkids Summer Food Service Program

The CalKidz Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that kids and teens ages 18 and under receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. Our program provides free breakfast and lunch at convenient locations throughout Butte County while school is out for summer. No registration is required to be served. Healthy meals help children get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow - and this makes children better prepared to start another school year.Calkids Summer Food Service Program

how would your school like to receive free onsite nutrition education?

how would your school like to receive free onsite nutrition education?

Via the BCOE CalKidz Mobile Teaching Kitchen, nutrition staff can help reinforce messages about good nutrition and help ensure that students see and hear consistent information about healthy eating across the school campus and at home. Students will be exposed to new foods, see what balanced meals look like, and may be encouraged to try new foods through verbal prompts from nutrition staff or participate in taste tests.

BCOE's CalKidz nutrition staff would love to visit your school! Please click on the 'Book Appointment' button below to schedule your free onsite nutrition education event with the Mobile Teaching Kitchen.
