About Robotics Build Workshops

The Butte County Office of Education partners with YMCA of Oroville, Butte County Library and Butte Built Bots to provide a robotics building workshop for students. Students use creativity and STEM skills to design a functioning robot that can perform a simple task. The robots are entered into the Butte County Fair for display in the Robotics Exhibit Hall.

Students must built a robot that is able perform one task. Students may build build robot models such as a Bubble Machine, Mechanical Hand, Doodle Robot, Jumping Robot, Brush Robot, etc.
